Award-winning songwriter and Appalachian folk musician Ash Devine and award-winning songwriter and social scientist Maggie Clifford have been friends and musical collaborators since 2005.
Maggie Clifford is Gainesville resident, professional musician, writer, social scientist, and mother of two. Clifford’s songs are musically stunning, emotionally captivating, and socially conscious with gentle calls to action. Clifford's music appears in several documentary films; the latest of which, The King, premiered at the 2018 Sundance film festival. Ash Devine is a professional touring Appalachian folk musician, award-winning songwriter, caring clown, and a health care and arts activist from the Blue Ridge Mountains of Asheville, North Carolina. Devine's music is rich with relatable stories and poetics of universality, with dynamic and breathy vocals, intricate Americana-Appalachian-World fusion guitar styles, and a connective stage presence.
