Work by Ani Collier selected for inclusion in Harn Museum Juried Exhibit: Art of Inquiry

GAINESVILLE, Fla, February 15, 2019 - Ani Collier's work NY has been selected by Harn Museum guest jurors for inclusion in the upcoming juried exhibition, Art of Inquiry, to be held at the Harn Museum of Art, University of Florida March 5 – July 7, 2019. According to the Harn Museum, this exhibit will showcase original works by many of the most talented established and emerging artists of the Gainesville regional community. 

Two Works by Ani Collier to be exhibited at Art Paris 2018

GAINESVILLE, Fla, Feb. 15, 2018 – Black C Art Gallery is pleased to announce that two works by Ani Collier from her NY Series will be shown at Art Paris this April. The two digital collages, Towering Contrast (2014) and Vertical Perspective (2016), will be exhibited at the fair in a media booth. This is the second international art fair where Collier’s work has been exhibited, following the success of her showing at Art Toronto in October 2017.

GAINESVILLE, Fla, Sept. 20, 2017 – Black C Art Gallery is pleased to announce that two works by Ani Collier from her NY Series will be shown at Vellum Magazine’s booth at Art Toronto this October. The two digital collages, Architexture (2013) and Converging Perspectives (2014), were selected for exhibition by Vellum Magazine Editor Stephanie Young and are an important representation of Collier’s overall body of work.

GAINESVILLE, Fla, Aug. 21, 2017 – Black C Art Gallery is pleased to announce that Towering Contrast (2014), a digital collage by Ani Collier from her NY Series, has been selected as a semi-finalist for Bombay Sapphire’s Artisan Series competition.  The work was chosen by a panel of judges that includes local and nationally recognized curators, artists, gallery owners and collectors, which had been vetted and selected by Artsy.

Lennie Kesl to be Exhibited at Black C Art Gallery

GAINESVILLE, Fla, May 12, 2017 — Black C Art Gallery is pleased to announce that it will feature works by the renowned artist and professor, Lennie Kesl, in an exhibit in honor of his birthday on June 12. Lennie Kesl: A Birthday Celebration will open on May 26 and will remain open until July 22, 2017. The exhibit will consist of more than twenty-five works from different stages of Kesl's career, all of which will be for sale.

Ani Collier's Film to be Exhibited at the Mint Museum

GAINESVILLE, Fla, Apr. 16, 2017 — Black C Art Gallery is pleased to announce the inclusion of Ani Collier’s film, And now, to Gendered: An Inclusive Art Show, at the Mint Museum in Charlotte, North Carolina. Gendered is a national juried group exhibition featuring 10-15 artists from across the United States, each of whom have explored the intersectionalities of gender, class, race, and sexuality in their work.

GAINESVILLE, Fla, February 3, 2017 — Black C Art Gallery is pleased to announce Ani Collier’s participation in NYC, an exhibit hosted by Vellum Magazine at CENTRAL BOOKING Gallery’s OffLINE Space on the Lower East Side. NYC is comprised of fourteen artists which were selected by curator Stephanie Young, editor of Vellum Magazine.  Collier has two pieces in the exhibit from her New York Series: Architexture and A View from the Harbor.
